Theatre at Disney: Hollywood Studios

Things I witnessed in regards to theatre at Hollywood Studios:
  •  Beauty and the Beast at Hollywood Studios

    • "Be our Guest" for this enchanting production of "a tale as old as time" at the lavish 1,500-seat Theater of the Stars along Sunset Boulevard. Relive all the romance and magic of the classic Disney film in this elaborately staged, effects-laden production that brings to life the classic love story of Belle and the Beast, and features Disney character favorites like Gaston, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts and more. Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage recounts the beauty of the original film. Through the use of extravagant costumes and vivid set pieces, showstopping dance numbers, and 5 classic songs—including "Be Our Guest" and "Beauty and the Beast"—it's a show that promises a fairy tale ending every time." • Star Wars Jedi Training Academy at Hollywood Studios

    • "Experience the power of the Force as you train to become a junior Jedi Knight! Approximately 15 Padawan participants can register for the show. You will be invited to don a brown robe and pledge the sacred Jedi Oath. Then, grab a lightsaber and hone your battle skills as you learn the age-old techniques from a real Jedi Master. Under the supervision of the Jedi Master, learn and master moves in an easy, step-by-step process that any true Jedi could handle. But be warned: There is a disturbance in the Force. Stormtroopers have been seen in the area, and it is rumored Darth Vader himself could make an appearance. Will you pass the test and defeat the Dark Side in a one-to-one battle for good? May the Force be with you!" WDW website

  • Voyage of the Little Mermaid at Hollywood Studios
    • "Begin in the reef-walled theater and feel the cooling effects of water mists. Follow Ariel as she travels back and forth from the ocean floor full of fish and mercreatures up to the world where she dreams to be, among the humans. Voyage of the Little Mermaid includes many memorable songs, like Ariel's wistful "Part of Your World" and the Academy Award-winning song, "Under the Sea," sung by the calypso-ing crab Sebastian. A mildly menacing moment occurs when the enormous evil sea witch, Ursula, belts out "Poor Unfortunate Soul." True to the movie, this musical stage production ends on wave of happiness." • Fantasmic! at Hollywood Studios

      • "Fantasmic! stars Mickey Mouse and a bevy of classic Disney Characters, and includes over one million gallons of water and 50 costumed performers. Combining explosive pyrotechnics, shimmering laser lights and dazzling dancing water effects with beloved Disney songs and animation, Fantasmic! is a lavish musical extravaganza in sight and sound, overflowing with silly and suspenseful surprises for the entire family. Fantasmic! takes you into the colorful imagination of Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer's Apprentice in this nighttime musical special effects extravaganza! Join Mickey as he invokes the characters and spirit of such favorite Disney classics as Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Aladdin, Pinocchio, The Lion King, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Tarzan, and more. But when the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs gathers such classic villains as Ursula, Cruella de Vil, Scar, Frollo, Jafar and a larger-than-life Maleficent to turn Mickey's dreams into a nightmare, leave it to Mickey and the power of imagination to save the day."
